Hiking Trip to the Colourful Mire Reserve

This trip takes you for a brisk 4 kilometers hike to the Martimoaapa – Lumiaapa – Penikat Mire Reserve, which is one of Northern Finland’s most important places designated for the protection of mires. It is also significant in the protection of threatened birds. In addition to mires there are also prominent old-growth forests in the reserve. Your guide will take you to this unique area by car. During the hike you´ll learn more about the Lappish nature and enjoy coffee, snacks and Finnish pancakes by campfire.
