We are a small family business established in 1981 that specializes in providing delicious food, great service and truly one-of-a-kind facilities for all kinds of get-togethers. Located by the beautiful Lake Päijänne and just 15 minute drive from Jyväskylä, Savutuvan Apaja is a haven for a feel of the days of the old. Savutuvan Apaja is home to 33 traditional old wooden houses that stand tribute to the craftsmanship of our ancestors. Our exquisite dining halls and meeting facilities made of wood and bedrock echo the sounds, sights and delights of days past and offer an intriguing visit to a time and place long since gone. Our log built saunas breathe the days of past and peace of nature. An evening at our lakeside saunas in good company, a small bite of our sauna snacks and a swim in the lake.

Our three separate saunas are suitable for up to 70 bathers. Towels and accessories are provided.

Savutuvan Apaja is a unique place to organize dinner and sauna events. On the island of Haapasaari, a protected natural reserve at the heart of lake Päijänne, Savutuvan Apaja offers a stunningly beautiful setting for our guests.

Our three, unique dining halls are suitable for events from 10 to 200+ guests. In addition to good food and saunas we organize memorable events.
